8th March 2012 - International Women's Day (IWD), originally called International Working Women's Day - today the works at the old house start again. The scaffoldings were taken down and an excavator is in front of the house. What to do? The basement of the old house is quite damp, so it is necessary to dig a three meter deep trench to reach the foundations, consolidate them with concrete, then put a waterproof sheet and an insulation layer against the new foundations to dry the wall and keep the water out. A huge work!!!
8 Marzo 2012 - Festa della Donna - Oggi ricominciano i lavori di ristrutturazione. Sono state tolte le impalcature dal fronte della casa ed è arrivato uno scavatore. Per far cosa? Il piano seminterrato è parecchio umido, quindi è necessario fare uno scavo profondo tre metri per raggiungere le fondamenta, consolidarle con calcestruzzo, stendere un telo catramato impermeabile ed uno strato isolante contro le nuove fondazioni per asciugare i muri e impedire all'acqua di entrare. Un lavoro pazzesco!
